The heavy duty version of the Hyperion HID relay harness features dual 40A relays and dual 20A fuse and heavy duty gauge wiring. Recommended to be installed with 50W ballasts or as an upgrade to your existing relay harness as they can handle more power. The dual design allows for independent power supply for each ballast. This means if one side fails and the fuse blows, the other side will still function normally unlike single circuit relay harnesses.
Application: resolve flickering issues from daytime running lights for HID kits. Daytime running lights usually run anywhere from 5 volts to 12 volts. HID ballasts normally require 9-16 volts to operate and will flicker if not enough power is supplied. This HID relay harness takes one input from your vehicle's factory headlight plugs and reroutes the power from the battery to the HID ballasts giving them full 12 volts.
